The Spanish Conference on Information Retrieval stems from the realization that a relevant research and business activity in the field has taken shape in Spain in the last few years, as it is attested by the significant presence of Spanish researchers in the main scientific fora and a raising corporate activity in the field. Four editions of this forum have already been organized:The 5th Spanish Conference on Information Retrieval will be held at the Aragon Institute of Engineering Research of the University of Zaragoza, Spain, from 25th to 27th of June 2018.
The conference aims to be a meeting forum for researchers, practitioners, and teaching professionals with an interest for the Information Retrieval field, where an overview of the activity in the Information Retrieval community can be obtained, seeking to provide a get-together for discussion and progress of future initiatives towards the promotion of IR, especially in Spain.
All the accepted works will be published in the proceedings of the Conference.
